Any term used in the present Privacy Policies shall have the same meaning as defined in the Alvarum Terms and Conditions of use.
“Data” means any information about the User, Subscriber or Visitor that the User, Subscriber or Visitor provides to the Site while visiting the Site or creating an Account.

2. Role of Alvarum and use of data
Alvarum SAS collects Data in the context of its role as described in Alvarum Terms and Conditions of Use.
Alvarum SAS automatically collects the IP address of any Visitor to the Site. Such IP address can be used by Alvarum to analyze the traffic on its Site and calculate statistics pertaining to visits of the Site by Users, Subscribers or Visitors, for the purpose of improving its services.
When subscribing to the Site, the User provides some information includingname, surname, email address, address.
These data are not public but the Subscriber can choose to disclose them, under its sole responsibility.
It is the Subscriber’s responsibility to provide truthful and correct information.
These Data are necessary for Alvarum SAS to manage Accounts and permit the Subscriber to benefit from the functionalities of the Site.
Alvarum SAS requires any Subscriber to choose a password when subscribing to the Site, such password being a protection against unauthorized access to the Subscriber’s Account. The Subscriber is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of this password.
When donating money and/or supporting a Subscriber, a User provides the following information: name and surname and e-mail address.
In order for the Subscriber to be able to follow up on the evolution of its mobilization or fundraising campaign, and thank the supporters and donors, Subscriber can access to the name, surname and e-mail of Users who donated and / or wrote comments on the Subscriber’s page on the Site.
Alvarum SAS commits to:
- Process personal Data only as required for the functioning of its software;
- Store the Data collected in a secure manner to prevent access by unauthorized third parties, loss, deterioration and misuse of the Data, in compliance with rules defined by the French CNIL (“National Technology and Liberties Committee“);
- Give the User access to the Data collected on its behalf using all means chosen by Alvarum SAS (such as, for example, electronic files);
- Not communicate Data collected on the Site to third parties without the authorization of the User, the Visitor, the Orgnization or the Subscriber, except as required by law, regulations, or in virtue of a decision of a Court or regulatory authority.
Organizations are free to use Data collected on their behalf by Alvarum SAS, in compliance with the applicable regulations, and in accordance with Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policies defined by the Organization itself for its service.
3. Right to access, correct, update, oppose and delete
The National Technology and Liberties Committee (CNIL) has been notified of Alvarum SAS’s acts as regards the processing of personal Data under number: 1255416, as required by applicable regulations.
Any User, Subscriber or Organization has the right to access, correct, update and delete any Data provided to Alvarum SAS.
For the purpose of exercising these rights, the User, Subscriber or Organization may contact Alvarum by sending a request on http://support.alvarum.com, or by postal mail at Customer Service, 19 rue Martel Paris France.
Alvarum SAS hereby informs Users, Subscribers and Organizations that in compliance with the requirements of the applicable law, Organizations also must implement a procedure for processing Data that is provided by Users or Subscribers who register Data on the Site and that is transmitted to Organizations.
Users and Subscribers have the same right to access, correct, update, block or delete such Data as mentioned above. Users and Subscribers may exercise this right by contacting the Organization directly.
4. Newsletter & emails
The Alvarum Site provides Users, Subscribers, Visitors or Organizations or any other third party free ‘Newsletters’ and emails. The aim of these communications is primarily instructive and informative.
It contains information about Alvarum SAS and the community of Users and Organizations using Alvarum Site.
Alvarum SAS will provide Newsletters and emails to:
- Any Subscriber, except where the Subscriber exercises the right to refuse receipt under the terms and conditions presented in the present Privacy Policies,
- Any Visitor to the Site wishing to subscribe spontaneously to the Newsletter.
By accepting these Privacy Policies, Users, Subscribers and Visitors acknowledge and accept that by subscribing to the Newsletter, they may periodically receive information from Alvarum SAS and/or Organizations, by any means of communication provided by the Newsletter.
When a User communicates Data for an event or a fundraising action through Alvarum SAS, Alvarum SAS reserves the right to send such User its Newsletter and email offers.
In compliance with the applicable law, any User or Subscriber to the Newsletter has a right to access, modify, delete any Data provided by the User or Subscriber. Such right may be exercised:
- By sending a letter to Alvarum Fundraising, Customer Service at 19 rue Martel 75010 Paris, France;
- By sending a request on http://support.alvarum.com or
- By unsubscribing from the Newsletter, by clicking on the link at the bottom of each issue of the Newsletter entitled “If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, click here”.
- Internet users who no longer wish to receive the Newsletter or other offers by Alvarum SAS, can unsubscribe in a single click, available on each newsletter or e-mail.
We inform each User, Visitor, Subscriber and Organization that when visiting the Site, a cookie may be automatically installed on the User, Visitor, Subscriber or Organization’s browser. A cookie is an element of data that does not identify the User, Visitor, Subscriber and Organization as a User, Visitor, Subscriber and Organization, but is used to record information about the visits to the Site.
In compliance with CNIL recommendations, we inform Users, Visitors, Subscribers and Organizations that they can adjust their Internet browser settings in order to be informed of the presence of cookies and, in particular, to refuse them.

Disabling cookies may prevent any User, Visitor, Subscriber and Organization from using certain services on the Site.
We use Google Analytics, Google AdWords Conversion tracker, and other Google services that place cookies on a browser across the website. We use AdWords remarketing to market our sites across the web. We place a cookie on a browser, and then a 3rd party (Google) reads these cookies and may serve an ad on a 3rd party site. You may opt out of this ad serving on Google’s opt out page.
6. Data storage
Any Data provided to Alvarum SAS by a Subscriber will be stored during the time necessary for the use of the Subscriber’s Account.
Nevertheless, if the Account is closed, for any reason whatsoever, Data and content associated with the Data will be stored by Alvarum SAS for a period of one year. Beyond this one-year period, Data and content will be eliminated.
7. Other legal notices
Visitors, Users, and Subscribers should consult the confidentiality policies of third-party websites to which the Site may redirect them or that may have redirected them to the Site. Subject to the provisions of the present Privacy Policies, Alvarum cannot be held responsible for information supplied to third parties or collected by them and further has no control over information so supplied.
8. Modifications to the present privacy policies
Alvarum SAS might have to modify the present Privacy Policies in order to meet legal requirements or to adapt to the evolution of the Alvarum Site. Any update will be highlighted on this webpage.
